The Eastern Solid Paint Bred Council will be dedicated to serving those with Solid Paint Breeding Stock Horses in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and surrounding areas of the East Coast.
The sole purpose of the Eastern Solid Paint Bred Council is to promote the category of Solid Paint Horses and to make a market for these horses in this area, as well as others. Our main focus is to draw attention to these horse and expand the idea that they are equal to their colored counterparts.
As many of you know, the horse market is currently in a rut. Quite a few people are breeding fewer mares and getting lower numbers of future prospects. Those that are breeding are having quite a time trying to make a market for these horses, especially for Solid Breeding Stock Horses. Unfortunately, quite a few of these horses are sold off for little money, barely or not enough to cover the breeding fees that people spend to get these foals- not to mention the shipping cost, mare care, and other costs that are intertwined with breeding. Most breeders try to eliminate these horses at all cost, just to avoid a loss- but what if there was actually a market with a demand for these horses, ready and waiting for a new prospect? A market that consisted of 4-H and recreation riders all the way up to World Class exhibitors. This is one reason why we think that the Eastern Solid Paint Bred Council would be an exceptional idea to be implemented in Virginia through South Carolina- of course, it would be an exceptional benefit for people outside of the area as well, due to the fact that there would be opportunities for these horses to be bought and trained and shown to the best of their ability.
We are really looking forward to trying to start this club and promote the Solid Breeding Stock Paint horses. After all, a good horse is still a good horse, regardless of color. We would really love to grow and expand and eventually be able to give away awards such as payouts and other rewards.
All it takes is for a seed to be planted for it to grow into something marvelous. This club will represent a seed that will hopefully become a beautiful tree in the forest that is the American Paint Horse Association.
